As Beijing’s premier cold-chain distributor of imported all-natural and organic produce, we are blessed to be a in a position to better our community in numerous ways. We are committed to enhancing lives by supporting causes and events we care about. The following is a bit of what we’ve been up to recently.
Community
Beijing Chili Cookoff - April 2019
Usource sponsored teams at the Backyard Chili Cook-Off for the fourth year running to encourage the hutong community to get together, meet new people and try a diverse range of chili styles from across the globe. Dozens of contestants created chilis ranging in styles from Tex-Mex to Thai and others far more exotic from coffee to chocolate to whiskey flavor. We look forward to supporting this event for decades to come!
Ethiopian Table - March 2019
Cooking is a way to share and spread love, bridge cultural gaps and make friends. Creating a delicious meal is not meant for just a few people, it is meant for extended families and friends to enjoy, laugh and connect over. Hailing from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, we helped Abenet show Beijing the Ethiopian culinary arts. Culture affects your taste and cooking style, and it brought joy to many for her to bring those same exotic flavours from her home to yours.
Saint Patrick’s Day Shepherd’s Pie Contest – March 2019
To celebrate Irish cultural heritage and cuisine Usource sponsored teams competing in the Beijing Shepherd’s Pie contest on St. Patrick’s Day. Teams competed for the votes of five judges and “the people’s vote” from hundreds of community members for the honor of the best shepherd’s pie in Beijing. By donating all natural beef and lamb, we were able to do what we do best, which is feeding people and bringing the Beijing community together. We look forward to sponsoring teams at next years event!
Olympic Athlete Development Sponsorship - August 2016
Usource, along with Mercedes and Toyota sponsored Chinese Olympic Development Athletes over seventeen days during the Olympic Games in Rio. Catering to the Olympic spirit, four Olympic events were be held at Beijing’s Olympic stadiums, including the Shougang Basketball Gymnasium, the Water Cube Swimming Pool, Beijing Sports University Badminton Stadium and the Bird’s Nest (track and track and field stadium) where Usource awarded all 200 competitors with a weeks-worth of all-natural beef and organic cherries.
Woodstock of Eating - June 2016
Usource was a supporter of the Beijing’s first platform for F&B creatives to show off their stuff. Inspired by the night bazaar in Brooklyn, New York, Woodstock of Eating is a festival celebrating the diversity of international cuisine and supporting independent chefs, artisans, bakers and creators, providing F&B startups with a venue to introduce their wares to the China market. Usource supplied multiple startups with all natural produce to get them started.
Charity
China Orphans - Maddog Annual Charity Fundraiser
Usource sponsors the Maddog Charity fundraiser, attended by over 1500 people annually to raise funds for the “Phillip Hayden Foundation” and the “Shepherds Field Children’s Village” in Langfang, China to pay for life changing medical operations for orphans with disabilities. Usource will donate hundreds of all-natural Angus beef patties to the 2019 event held on May 18th at the Riviera Country Club in Beijing.
Sun Village
Usource is a proud sponsor of Sun Village, a non-profit and non-governmental orphanage and school serving to the children of Chinese convicts. The children of Chinese convicts do not qualify for government welfare, so the orphanage handles all living expenses including diapers, education, medicine, clothes, food, more. Usource regularly donates all-natural Australian beef to Sun Village.
Chi Fan For Charity
CFFC, meaning “eating for charity” is China’s largest F&B charity event taking place at over 100 restaurants across China on the same night since 2009. Restaurants donate all proceeds from the evening to CFFC’s selected annual charity. Usource has donated food to beijing restaurants for this event every year since we began distribution in 2015. Beijing’s F&B community raised over 400,000 RMB for the education of rural girls.

Beef Jerky and Lamb Conference - August 2016
Usource was the guest of honor at the 3rd China Beef and Mutton Industry Conference and Expo in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia. The event, with over 20,000 attendees and organized by the China Meat Industry Association, aims to connect China’s rural producers with the global audience. Usource brought some of our customers and partners in order to help China’s local producers of all grass-fed meat connect with international F&B brands and aid in the development of China’s natural produce industry.
